Cookie List 2009

December 16th, 2009  |  Published in Uncategorized  |  5 Comments

I enjoy baking. No, scratch that. I LOVE to bake. And I particularly love to bake cookies. Thanks to Memaw, Gram, Martha Stewart and other random folks, magazines and my love of experimenting with flavors in the kitchen, I now have over a thousand tried and true cookie recipes to pick from and use throughout the year. Of those recipes, 451 are Christmas cookies. This year’s list will contain many tried and true recipes and bars; however, I’ve added a few newbies to the list as well. Over the next 48 hours, I will bake 59 dozen cookies! On Sunday night, I will bake 20 mini egg nog poundcakes and for Christmas day, I’ll throw in a regular sized egg nog pound cake, a pecan pie and honey macademia nut fudge to boot. The list follows. Feel free to ask me about particular cookies or for a recipe! Because why have so many awesome recipes if not to share with friends and family!

Happy Holidays All!

4 dozen Spiced Chocolate Chip Cookies (spiced with cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg!)
3 dozen Peanut Cookies
3 dozen Biberli Cookies (mmm, marzipan! This is the first year for these!)
2 dozen Mexican Sugar Cookies
5 dozen Peppermint Stick Spritz (for Drue’s holiday party at school)
3 dozen Sugar Cookies (made with sour cream and frosted with Royal Icing!)
2 dozen Big Soft Gingerbread Cookie Cutouts
4 dozen Chocolate Dipped Butterscotch Logs
3 dozen Honey and Macademia Nut Fudge (a newbie this year!)
2 dozen Magic Bars
2 dozen Pumpkin Chocolate Cheesecake Bars (another newbie this year!)
2 dozen Gingersnap Raspberry Sandwiches
3 dozen Snickerdoodles
6 dozen Madeleines
5 dozen Snowberry Cookies
3 dozen Lime White Chocolate Cookies (another new recipe for 2009!)
3 dozen Buttery Toffee Cookies
4 dozen Peppermint Snowballs
If needed 10 dozen Swedish Ginger Cookies (in case we run low on cookies for baskets and gifts!)

A great idea for future recipes this. Thank you for sharing it. Have you noticed how so many people appear to be cooking again? I wonder if the lack of funds due to the current climate has something to do with it and we all appear to be cooking again! its great!
