Today, Drue, Angela and I took a “paddlewheeler” across Lake Tahoe. We left Zephyr Cove – located just over the Nevada state line – and spent an hour crossing Lake Tahoe to Emerald Bay and another hour coming back across the lake. Gorgeous does not even begin to describe the lake, or the mountains, for that matter. I was awe-struck and spent half my time on deck taking pictures and the other half gulping down some of the cleanest, coldest, freshest air I’ve ever breathed. Lake Tahoe is so clean and so pure that the water reflects the blue sky, the clouds and the mountains as well as giving you a 100 foot glimpse down to its sandy bottom in various places. My pictures don’t do it justice. In fact, I cannot find a single picture online that would really capture the awesome beauty of this place. As Drue said when she walked out on deck, “Wow.” I think that says it all, don’t you?
